Stuck in time…

antique bedroom set 2We still have so much to do it is crazzzzzy!!! But until we get the base plate for our CRV in the mail and our norcold frigerator recall parts in the mail we are kind of stuck in time… To compound things the place we have stored our RV has no water yet since their pipes froze so we can’t even checkout the plumbing system after all the hard freezes around here. So it looks like I may be doing some plumbing real soon.

To top things off we need to have the generator serviced before heading out but plan to do that when the refrigerator china cabgets serviced for the recall. We still have several antiques that need to be sold as well and time is seemingly running out.  On the brighter side we may have a buyer for our 2007 Toyota Camry. We should know in the next day or so. Still don’t have the house sold yet but we do have a couple of realtors lined up that we will let sell it for us after we leave.

Quite a stressful time tying up all the loose ends but we know that this time too will pass and a much more relaxing future is in store for us. See you on the road soon…100_4000

  1. Soon you'll be on the road and this will just be a memory.

  3. We can really relate to how you feel right now. The last few weeks before we left were very hectic and minutes seemed like hours. Bob is right - soon it will be a very distant memory.

You are doing all the right things and having all your service completed before leaving. It is much easier to do this @ a place you know rather than on the road.

  5. Boy I am right there with you. Things to sell...all these decisions about what, if anything, to "store". It is very stressful and I'll be so glad when it's all over. April 1 is my deadline. A little more time than you have if as it looks you are down to 16 days. WOW! But, like you, there are rig things - repair, new tires - and possessions things. Hope we can meet on the road and laugh about all this.

  6. This is a most stressful time for you, indeed.
But, trust us on this one, it's worth it!

As others have said, it will all get done.
    Really, it will.

    Take care of yourselves!!!!

  7. Beautiful antiques. Wish I was still in the market....NOT. They are very pretty and should be easy to sell. We are out here waiting on you.

  8. You are right, this too shall pass. I remember how chaotic those times were for us, but now they are such a distant memory. It's funny, we were just talking this morning about where we were in our lives a year ago. It's hard to believe that we've come so far in just a year. So hang in there...someday soon you'll look back at this time and be amazed that you made it through, but so happy that you perservered. I'm passing good thoughts your way!

  9. Whee heee it's coming up close now! Each day you are in *limbo* is a day to plan some more, do some more, and dream some more!

Wish we were doing it NOW instead of 2013....

  11. Boy, the memories are really coming back of selling stuff, getting rid of stuff, and packing the RV. Do you know where you are going to go first? We'll be in Dickinson for another week, then heading towards Arizona. we're going to hit Big Bend National Park first. We should have met you at the Houston RV show!
