Hoodoo you think you’re fooling…

We have certainly enjoyed our time spent in Panguitch Utah and have loved the views of the red rock mountains from our site here in Paradise RV Park. This RV park is great and at only $105 per week including tax we feel it simply can’t be beat…

Spending time hiking in Bryce National Park, Rec Canyons and Kodachrome State Park has been a a blast. One thing I have really enjoyed about this area are all the hoodoos that are around. Especially fun for me is to try and find interesting hoodoos that seem to be more than stone and resemble something completely different. Below are photos of some of the more interesting hoodoos we came across…

Thumbs up or “Gig’em Aggies…”                            Monkey Face or Elephant?

The Queen?                                      A Serbian Soldier or ET???

                                                        Rhinoceros???

The King and his Squire…                             The Grinch Who Stole Christmas…

My favorite is of this cat laying on top of his pad….

But it isn’t just hoodoos as I also saw features in the rocks at Kodachrome …

a howling coyote…                                      Is that Yosemite Sam???

And my favorite here was a whole mountain that resembled King Arthur…

Sharon finds it weird that I look for things and shapes in the hoodoos… but what can I say She Loves Me Like a Rock! Yep we enjoyed our visit here and are now moving on down the road…. next up is Leeds, Utah where we will stay for a week to check out Zion National Park and its surroundings…

  4. I love how so many rocks take on a different character. Love the Grinch, great find! We saw the cat:)

We are heading into Zion at least twice next week to hike. We weren't able to get to the Kolab Arch on our last visit. So hoping to get there this time. Also, there's a place I'm trying to find off Kolab Terrace Rd. Don't forget to check out Cedar Break Monument!!

  6. Gorgeous photos!

I'm leaving on 10/24 and looking for a place to park and work the 27th-31st ...that distance is doable and puts me in a good spot to get to my folks the weekend of 11/1. Was the Verizon ok there?
