That was fixed by screwing two pieces of aluminum onto the bottom of the slide. To keep the aluminum from chewing up the carpet and tile when the slide comes in, the techs fabricated fairly heavy "slide slickers." They have lasted for several years. If you google on slide slicker, they'll come up for sale.
