So in December of 1997 I was in search of a new truck and had found it in the form of a charming brand new white ford ranger pickup truck. Since then I have only put 67,000 miles on it since I mostly used if to go back and forth from work.
Today when I woke up the truck was gone! I sold it yesterday and as a result, today when I left the house to go to work, there was a bit of sadness that my old white ranger was gone… Man I loved that truck!!! So today I drove our brand new Honda CRV toad that had been hiding in our garage since we brought it home. I really enjoyed driving it but it just wasn’t the same… However, I hope that this is the beginning of brand new love affair with an inanimate object…
47 days to go… YIKES!!!!
I had a special affinity to my little white Ranger truck, too.
ReplyDeleteIt took me, my pets, and my little Hi-Lo travel trailer to all kinds of interesting places.

You have lots of new things to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteIt is strange how we get attached to "TOYS", I had the same feeling when I traded my good old F-250 1994 for F-350 2006...and I am sure it will happen again when I do my next trade.
ReplyDeleteAs long as we are going forward and happy with it -it is fine.
Great looking ride. You will soon forget all about that little white truck. My Hubby also had a little ranger that he drove to work, then my SIL drove it for a couple of years. Good little trucks with great milage.
ReplyDeleteI know what it is like to love you vehicle for sure. I guess you thought about using it as a toad. Is it too heavy for that? Seems like a truck as a toad would actually be great since you could use the bed for lots of things.
ReplyDeleteGot your note about malwarebytes but I can't it or anything else to my own blog unless I go back to the library :-) Malwarebyetes was the first thing I used on this monster. It cleared up most of the problem but I was left with the blogger & gmail - IE won't connect problems.
Do send any more ideas you have and feel free to use email RVDreamlife@gmail.com. Even though I can't log in to the web client, my outlook express will allow me to use my gmail account. WHAT a MESS I've got here.
Congrats on the countdown! Thanks for the advice.

OH yes.. I had a love affair.. with my Heepie Jeepie! It was a 90 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with woody sides and lots of chrome... it had 4WD on the fly, leather seats and just crawled through anything I asked it to. Gosh I miss it. It started rusting on the frame and was time to go...

I miss my Little Red Honda Fit :( She was easy to get around in and park. You're gonna LOVE your CRV. Won't be long till you guys bond!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will learn to love your CRV. Mine is a 2003 and I still love it. Terrific tow vehicle and it's comfortable for exploring during our travels. I do miss my husband's Miata that we sold when we became full-timers though.
