Time sure flies when you're having fun

Wow! The time sure flies when you're having fun. Our 3-month stay here in Mesa. Arizona is about to come to an end. We have a little more than a week left and have been having a lot of fun during our stay. 

We've gotten in a few hikes and some birding at the Salt River and at the Gilbert Riparian Reserve. We've enjoyed the live music provided at the various cal-am parks, Thursday night karaoke (complete with jello shots) and an occasional dip in the hot tub. 

We've also gotten a lot of projects done on the motorhome. When we stay for an extended time it gives us an opportunity to check off items on our list of things that need attention or repair. Some of the big items we've done this year was to replace two of our awnings that got destroyed during the windstorm in Omaha, Nebraska last year. 

We also replaced our couch in the RV which was getting very old and a few springs  finally broke just before the new one was  delivered. We also did our spring cleaning including shampooing the small amounts of carpet remaining in the RV. We also serviced our sagging steps by replacing some of the bolts and having some welding to to repair the cracked bracing.

The electrical side of the RV water heater was also repaired. The most challenging repair was an electrical repair that I finally tracked down that fixed our outside lights that weren't working. 

While we didn't take everything off our to-do list. We sure made a big dent in it. The remaining items aren't very serious and will eventually be addressed as well.

We have one more week of fun in the sun and then it's time to hit the road once again...
