Wow, I can't believe I've been neglecting the blog. For some reason I just haven't been motivated to write one. I meant to but time and time again I just kept putting it off. So, now it's time for an update.
Since we're at our winter home, not a lot has happened other than our normal resort routine. We have always enjoyed this park because of its numerous amenities including daily live music and its location to many of the things we like to see and do is another plus.
This year's different as we have both finally hit the age of 70. Once again, we have started talking about an exit plan from full-time RVing but continue to struggle with what we'll do next.
We are entertaining the thought of purchasing a park model in either the park that we're staying at now, Towerpoint, or an adjacent park called Mesa Regal. We have no plan to actually live there 12 months out of the year because of the brutal heat that the summer months bring.
We feel as if we could live in Mesa 7 to 8 months a year but would definitely have to escape for a minimum of 3 months to somewhere else to beat the heat. Although we're not sure what we'll do those 3 months, we have started looking at park models to see if there is anything out there we'd be interested in purchasing.
We don't plan on spending much because we don't see ourselves staying in this location more than 5 years. As much as we like it here, we do see ourselves tiring of it over time.
We have also decided that if we buy a park model there's no need for us to have a large motorhome so we most likely would sell it as well. Therefore I have been investigating the best way to do that and to try to figure out what it might be worth.
So there you have it. We know we thought about quitting full-timing several years ago but this time it seems a bit more real. I do feel as if we magically find something to purchase this year we will do so. If we don't find anything, it will likely be another year of RVing.
We hope everyone had a great Christmas and we look forward to the New Year and what surprises it may bring.
