A lot has been going on since we last posted. We have had many discussions on whether or not this will be the final winter stay of our full-timing adventure. We have given it a lot of thought and have decided to put our beloved RV up for sale. This decision didn't come easy.
As such, we are looking at a possibly purchasing a park model in the Mesa, Arizona area. However
, we've been having a hard time finding one that we find acceptable. While there are many available for sale, there are only a few that meet all of our needs.
We shall keep looking but all is not lost if we don't find one. If the RV doesn't sell, we will just continue traveling for another year. If it does sell, it will force our hand to figure out what we want to do next. In the meantime, if you know of anybody looking for a well-loved RV, ours is up for sale. I'll detail it below :
2007 Tiffin Allegro Bay 37QDB. This unique RV with four slide outs is a front engine diesel with a 300 Cummins ISB 5.9L engine and 5-speed Allison automatic transmission. We currently have about 96,500 mi on it and we have put most of those miles on it during our travels across the USA, Canada and Mexico.
While traveling over the last 15 years we have made many modifications and upgrades to the RV. We are non-smokers and don't own any pets. The RV is meticulously clean and some of the upgrades that we've done include replacing most of the carpet with luxury vinyl tile, replacing the inverter/ charger, replacing the microwave convection oven, installing a residential refrigerator, installing 135 watts of solar on the roof, bought all new furniture a year ago, converted most of the lights to LED, replaced all the original blinds, added wire shelving to the master bedroom closet and replaced all the TVs with flat screens and a new sound system.
Mechanically we have replaced the turbo, the ECM, the exhaust manifold, the lift pump and all new fuel injectors. Likewise, we have replaced the troublesome Atwood levelers with the EQ systems automatic leveling system.
This model's recalls have been performed including replacing the side rails on the roof and wet bay. The back tires are 4 years old and need to be replaced in about 2 years while the fronts are due for replacement this year and can either be done by us or we can offer a discount on the total price to the buyer and they can replace them at the end of the year.
The chassis batteries were replaced last year and the the house batteries are 2 years old.
If you're looking to travel full-time or even part-time, you won't find a better loved RV than this one. We have worked out all the bugs over the years and it is ready to go for its new owners.
We are asking $49,500 and included for towing is the Roadmaster tow bar. We towed a 2011 Honda CRV and if desired we would include the Roadmaster hitch to the car as well. Also included are lots of spare parts that one may need while traveling that we kept in case of troubles on the road.
